পবিত্র মাহে রমজান জুড়েই স্থানীয় ছিন্নমূল-হতদরিদ্র,অসহায় ও খেটে খাওয়াসহ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণী-পেশার মানুষের রয়েছেন কেরাণীগঞ্জ গ্র্যাজুয়েট সোসাইটি। প্রতিষ্ঠার পর থেকেই প্রতিবারই পবিত্র মাহে রমজানে সমাজের হতদরিদ্রদের খবর নেন তারা। কেরাণীগঞ্জের কোন্ডা থেকে হযরতপুর প্রতিটি অঞ্চলেই ইফতার,ইফতার সামগ্রী ও ঈদ সামগ্রীও পৌছে দেয়া হয় এ সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে। কখনও বা শীতবস্ত্র কখনও ঈদ-বস্ত্র, কখনও ইফতার সামগ্রী আবার কখনও বা বেসরকারি স্কুল কলেজের শিক্ষদের পাশে দাড়িয়ে তাদেরকে সাধ্যমত নানাবিদ সহযোগীতা করে যাচ্ছেন কেরাণীগঞ্জের স্বেচ্ছসেবী এ সংগঠনটি। সাহোয্যেও হাত বাড়িয়েছেন করোনায় আটকে পরা কর্মহীন ও দরিদ্র মানুষের মাঝেও। সংগঠনের অঞ্চল ভিত্তিক বিভিন্ন এলাকার সদস্যগণ এতে স্বত:স্ফুর্ত অংশগ্রহন করেন। এধরনের কর্মকান্ড সংগঠনটির আলাদা একটি বৈশিষ্ট। শীতে শীতবস্ত্র বিতরন। রমজানে ইফতার ও ঈদে ঈদসামগ্রীসহ ভিন্ন ভিন্ন মৌসুমে তাদের ভিন্নধর্মী সব আয়োজন বিভিন্ন শ্রেণীপেশার মানুষকে অবাক করে তুলছে। তাই তাদের এধরনের কর্মকান্ডকে সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছেন এলাকার সচেতন মহল।
এব্যাপারে জানতে চাইলে কেরানীগঞ্জ গ্র্যাজুয়েট সোসাইটির সভাপতি মো.মুজাহিদুল ইসলাম মামুন (ম.ই.মামুন) বলেন, আমরা এলাকা ও এলাকাবাসীর জন্য কিছু একটা করেেত চাই। সকল ধরনের দল মতের বাইরে গিয়েও যে মানুষের জন্য কিছু একটা করা যায় তা আমরা এখান থেকে করে দেখাতে চাই। আমরা এ সংগঠনের মাধ্যমে মানুষের ভুল ভেঙ্গে দিতে চাই। মানুষের মানবিকতার চোখ খুলে দিতে চাই। আমরা মানুষ হিসেবে মানুষের পাশে এসে দাড়াতে চাই। তিনি বলেন, মানুষের মুখে হাসি ফুটানো সহজ কাজ নয় কিন্তু আমরা তা করে দেখাতে চাই। তিনি বলেন মাঝে মাঝে মানুষ অল্পতেই অনেক খুশি হয়। মানুষের হাতে যখন প্রয়োজনীয় কিছু সামগ্রী তুলে দেয়া হয় তখন তাদের চোখে মুখে কৃতজ্ঞতা ও হাসি ফুটে ওঠে। আমরা সমাজের একেবারের তৃণমূলের কিছু অসহায় মানুষের মুখে ঠিক এমন হাসিই ফোটাতে চাই।
